Privacy

Updated 2026-10-28. Plain words, no tricks.

Photos

When you send a photo, your device shrinks it first, which also removes the GPS location saved inside it. The photo is sent once to Anthropic's Claude model to be read and is not stored by this site. If you tap Save, the answer and a small copy of the photo stay on your own device only.

Your ZIP code

If you add a ZIP code, it is kept on your device and sent with requests so the trainer can show what lives near you. We never ask for your exact location.

Counters

To keep photo reading free, the site counts photo reads per month and per connection per day. The daily count uses a one-way code made from your connection and the date; it cannot be turned back into your address and is deleted within two days. "Was this right?" taps are counted as yes or no only.

Troop and class groups

If you join a group, the group keeps the nickname you type and your counts of lessons and badges, for up to 180 days. Use a first name or nickname only. Leaving a group on your device stops new updates.

Analytics

Google Analytics counts anonymous screen views and a few events (a photo was read, a quiz was finished, a video was played, the app was installed). It never receives photos, ZIP codes or places. Ad storage and Google signals are off.

Videos

Lesson videos play in YouTube's own player in its privacy-enhanced mode, and only after you tap one. Before the tap, only the video's picture loads from YouTube. Once a video plays, YouTube's own privacy policy covers it. The site counts that a video was played, not who played it.

Ads

The site shows spaces for ads. When ads run, Google may use cookies to show and measure them, and visitors where the law requires it will be asked first. This page will be updated before that starts.

On your device

Lessons passed, badges, saved answers and offline copies are kept in your browser's storage on your device. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
